Michele's birthday

Last night, I went out with my friend Michele, and four of her other friends, for her birthday. We had appetizers and dessert at this fabulous place called Vuz in Draper. We ordered a fruit and cheese platter. The Bleu Cheese was to die for! We also had a portobello mushroom, that was delicious. For dessert we shared a chocolate tort, key lime tort, and bread pudding. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the food and ambience are excellent.

Afterward, Michele, her friend Tricia, and I went to Maggie McGees for Karaoke. When we got there, someone asked if we wanted to play poker. None of us knew how to play, but the dealer was willing to teach us, and it was free, so we thought, what the heck.

We don't have very good poker faces.

Since we didn't come there to play poker, and what we really wanted to do was sing, we decided our strategy would be to keep betting no matter what our cards looked like (i.e. lose). That way we would be out sooner and we could get back to Karaoke. I don't think that strategy worked so well for Michele.

Michele kept unintentionally rakin it in.

After Michele lost her money, we were finally able to Karaoke.
